Fred DeGrandis to Join Medic Management Group

DeGrandis to Join Medic Management Group

AKRON, Ohio, May 3, 2016 – Healthcare executive Fred M. DeGrandis will join Medic Management Group (MMG) as senior director for healthcare initiatives.  He will provide strategic services to help clients develop relationships between physicians and health systems.

“We are excited to have Fred join Medic Management Group to help us serve our clients.  I have known and worked with him for more than 20 years,” said Thomas J. Ferkovic, managing director of MMG.  “We specialize in working with physicians, and one of Fred’s strengths is that he is trusted by physicians and providers for his ability to think strategically and deliver what he promises.”

With more than 30 years of experience, DeGrandis brings deep industry background that includes leadership of hospitals, health systems and physician groups, along with community and civic organizations.  He serves on many local healthcare-related and civic boards, the Cancer Treatment Centers of America board of directors and the national board of trustees for the ALS Association.

“During this transformative time in the healthcare industry, I am delighted to join the Medic Management Group team,” DeGrandis said.  “This is a cutting-edge consultancy that addresses major operational and management decisions to enable hospitals, health systems, physicians and clinical practices to focus on what they do best – providing care to patients.”

MMG provides essential services that help healthcare organizations run successful businesses, including practice management, operational and financial consulting.  With healthcare moving to an outpatient setting, it guides clients through the increased complexity of regulations, data analytics, technology and value-based reimbursement models.

DeGrandis, one of the area’s leading healthcare professionals, will leave his post as managing director and chief administrative officer at the Global Center for Health Innovation to join the consultancy group at a future date.  He will continue his duties and remain in his position at the Global Center in the near future.  DeGrandis also will continue to support the Global Center after his departure by accepting its offer to serve as a member of the Global Center Executive Advisory Council.

Medic Management Group, LLC. (formerly SS&G Healthcare Services) is a national physician practice management company that helps clients meet their clinical, financial and practice goals.
