As a Team Lead at Medic Management Group, Sarah Yates supports the Accounts Receivable team for a large client to ensure charge entry accuracy and claims follow-up. She plays a critical role in reviewing and validating charges and offers ongoing staff support.
Sarah has been part of the MMG family since 2018, previously holding the position of Senior Medical Billing Specialist. She has extensive experience working in AR follow-up and as a payment poster. Sarah’s organized nature and problem-solving abilities make her a valuable resource for new employee training, as well as reporting. And her knowledge of best practices, guidelines and procedures helps her in assisting teammates and clients alike.
With nearly a decade of industry experience, Sarah came to MMG from Mercy Health, where she specialized in Medicaid and Managed Medicaid claims follow-up. While in that position, she worked on insurance verification, claims submissions, denials research and resolution and claim rejections.
Sarah has an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Medical Assisting Technology from the University of Akron, as well as a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding. She has experience in EPIC, eClinical Works, G-med, MiroMD and Etactics.
